7.5 Months

Time is just rolling on by... and I'm knocking on wood as I type, but we have a pretty good routine going. Henry is sleeping like a champ, trying lots of new foods, and enjoying every moment of every day! But he is also no longer content staying in one place -- likes to be on the move at all times -- and although he has a room full of toys, he would rather take a swim in Charlie's dog bowl, play under the dining room table, and explore as many rooms in the house as he can (he's fast!!)  In addition, Henry is no longer content with just crawling -- he is now starting to pull up on all the low shelves and even try to pull himself into a standing position. Oh man, are we in for it now!

In other news, Ryan and I got to go out not just one, but TWO times in the past week.  We got to go to see The Boss last week Thursday and out to dinner with friends on Saturday! (Thank you Grandma Pat and Aunt Lindsey for babysitting!)

Henry had another fun Monday with my Mom -- as he always does. Man, we have an amazing family that is always willing to help us care for Henry.

Some new pics to enjoy!

Put himself in seated position!

I think Grandpa still has the hang of it!

Bruuuuuuuce!!!

For those of you that don't know... I'm a huge Bruce fan... and this was Ryan's first Bruce concert -- and he chose an awesome one to attend. Bruce played for 3 hours and 15 minutes and the set list was simply perfection.

Yup, I think I will just try to stand up here....

Another trip to the zoo --

Can't get enough of those smiles!

Oh, another table for me to pull up on? Thanks, Mom!

Yup... I'm going to be walking in no time!!

Baptism Baby!

Henry was baptized this weekend. What a wonderful celebration we had! The service was beautiful and Henry was a rockstar -- no tears, just gave us a very serious look as we held him over the baptismal fountain and water was sprinkled on his head. Henry has two amazing godparents and amazing group of people to share his life with! Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate this very special day!

Thank you for the pictures everyone -- and thank you to my brother, Ryan, who video taped the entire event!

Henry turned 7 months yesterday! He's on the move and growing growing growing! We can't believe that he is closer to being a year old than to the day he was born! Henry got to spend his 7 month birthday with Grammie S. and Great Aunt Jackie while Mommy and Daddy went to work. He had a blast -- played with TWO doggies, (Grammie's dog, Ivy, was here) took a walk to the park, and played all day long. Henry is also looking forward to his day with Grandma Beach tomorrow!

Playing in his clean diapers :)

Charlie and Ivy are good friends now, sleeping in the same bed!

I'm ready for my walk!

first time on a swing -- Great Aunt Jackie tucked him in all nice :)

Having fun with Grammie!

Thanks for the trip to the park, Grammie and Aunt Jackie! What a fun day!

overdue update.

Wow, it's been awhile. Sorry about that...If you can believe it, Henry is approaching 7 months and also seems to be reaching a new milestone every week!

Last week he cut his first two teeth! The first one popped up right away, the second one just started to come through yesterday, which made for a long week. This is making the whole family feel better. Henry, who was feeling crummy with those teeth coming through and Mommy and Daddy, who are getting some more sleep now that those teeth are here!

Henry has been crawling a lot. He has mastered the army crawl, loves to chase Charlie, and has become quite helpful by becoming our new dust mop :)

Henry has been enjoying lots of new foods - squash, sweet potatoes, apples, pears, blueberries, bananas, avocados - just to name a few!

Grammie Sobczak has been here to babysit for us the past few Mondays -- Henry loves when he gets to spend time with family and loved getting his Grammie all to himself for the entire day!

We also took our first (and second trip) to the zoo the past two weekends! Henry loves it all -- the animals, the blooming flowers, all the people, and the warm weather! We enjoyed watching his face as he saw the camels, rhinos, monkeys, panda bears, penguins, and so many more fun animals! We got a family pass so we can enjoy the zoo as much as we want this year!

Loves his breakfast!

1st trip to the zoo!

Look at the camel in the background!

Hey! A monkey, a real monkey!

All ready for summer with his new shades.

Good morning :)

Loves to "feed" himself.

Mom, can we go out and play?

It was a beach of a day...

I went back to work last week. It was hard to leave Henry, there were a few (okay, a lot) tears, but once I got into the groove of the day, it flew by and before I knew it, I was heading home. Throughout the day, our babysitter sent me updates via text, videos, and pictures. It was so nice to be able to see Henry during the day -- always with a grin on his face!

So when this morning came, the start of a new week, I wasn't worried about Henry's day at all, just mine as I had things that needed to get done at work. I left the house feeling better than last week and made it to work in record time, excited to have a quiet office for an hour or so to dive into some work. Just as I was getting out of my car, I noticed a shiny set of keys in the cup holder... Ryan's keys. Keys he would need to drive his car to work! Sure, we have an extra key to his car... on my key chain. that.was.in.my.hand. Great. Great. Great. A lot of curse words, followed by a call to my managing attorney, a quick trip up to my office to grab files, and a return commute (in not so record time) home. Did I mention that my commute is an hour?

It was a hectic start to the day, but I managed.... I managed care for Henry, two dogs (dog sitting one for a friend), put in a half-day of work, and didn't go insane!

This morning was a beach, but thr rest of the day was just fine. I got to enjoy all the extra smiles/giggles/cuddles I normally wouldn't have gotten today!!

6 Months!

Henry turned 6 months on Friday!

Henry has been very very busy.... getting up on all 4s a lot, saying "ma ma ma mamma," and just being one happy guy!

We also did 6 month photos this weekend! What a difference 3 months makes! Henry was a happy camper and smiled a lot for the camera! (Especially during the part where he got to be in his diaper!)

The past 6 months have flown by... he will be ONE before we know it!
