9 months! Well, Almost...

Tomorrow Henry is 9 months! I will give you all his stats next week after we go to the doctor, but for now let's talk about all the fun stuff going on!

Henry's 1st top tooth came in -- we are up to three teeth! The 2nd top front tooth is making it's way in - we hope it cuts through soon!

Henry is still all go go go. And when I mean "go", I mean Full Speed Ahead. This kid doesn't stop until his bed time. (which is why he goes to bed at 6:30 most nights!!) Luckily, he has become a semi-pro at pulling up and getting back down. And when I say semi-pro, I say it because we still have some tumbles every once in awhile, but oh so much better than when he started this "I want to get up and walk" phase.

He's also crawling on all fours about 30% of the time. However, he still prefers his army crawl to get from point A to point B in record time.

He has also become very interested in books that have real pictures in them, especially babies and animals. He gets very excited when he sees pictures of Dogs -- he usually laughs and then looks around for Charlie. He also loves (LOVES) looking at baby faces in books and talking to them! It's too too cute!

He's enjoying lots of new food -- yogurt, strawberries, and any other fruit/veggie that is soft enough for him to chew. He prefers chunks of food to the pureed stuff. (I don't blame him here!)

We can't believe that he is just a few short months away from his first birthday... already 9 months, wow!

And on to the reason you all visit my blog...

Loves being sans pants! Gotta love that cloth diapered bum!

Guess who doesn't want to take his naps?

Waving hello is his new thing. He waves hello to Daddy through the window when he gets home from work and gives me a wave when I leave for work in the morning -- cutest thing ever! And as always, Charlie is right there by his side!

We visited Daddy at work this week!

Henry received shipment #1 of the balls for his own personal ball pit. He loved them.

"Yup, I'm under the table roaming from chair to chair...."

First swim in the kiddie pool.

Loves the water -- definitely my kid.

Trying to get him to wave on camera -- no success here.

Hello, Mr. Monkey...

And a few videos taken over the last few weeks...

The longest Henry has ever sat in one place :)

"Hi, Mom!"

Check back next week after we head to the doctor and have all Henry's updated stats!

Catch up...

I'm playing catch up here -- trying to get some posts up before Henry graduates from High School! When Henry is awake, he is on the move! He is standing up, bending down to pick up items, and starting to cruise along furniture. His favorite thing to do these days is to pull up to the windows in the living room and look outside -- they are the perfect baby height! It's looking like he will be walking very soon. My guess is around his 10 month mark! So, needless to say, I haven't had much time to post -- sorry about that!

Last weekend was also our first Mother's Day! We had a wonderful day at home together, went for a walk, spent time in the yard -- I enjoyed every moment - as I do every day with Henry and my family!

And some pictures from the past few weeks....

Henry and Charlie checking out what is going on in the neighborhood!

Different day -- but same favorite spot at the window.

Mom, can you please turn the radio on??

Reading to Charlie

Playing out in the yard!

Very interested in watching what is going on outside!

Look what I have!

Visitors!

Last weekend one of my best friends from LA came to visit. It was supposed to be her first trip away from her 16 month old, but a turn of events made her "Mom is going to sleep in for the first time in over a year and a half" to "16 month old who just learned how to walk taking a 5 hour flight to Michigan!" Despite the unexpected start to the trip, we had SO MUCH FUN! Henry loved Mark and Mark loved Henry. It was so much fun to watch our two boys play together -- and you could see Henry's brain watching Mark's feet move, as if to say, "Oh, that's how you do it! Thanks, Mark!" Mark enjoyed playing with Charlie (and we were dog sitting another dog -- so TWO doggies to pet and play with!) We went on some walks, we ventured out for a meal, played outside... and just enjoyed the new phase in our lives. After we put the boys in bed, we enjoyed some adult beverages and laughed at how much our lives have changed since we met over 12 years ago! We are looking forward to seeing our dear friends again very soon when they make their yearly trip up to Harbor Springs! Yay!

Love the dinosaur pjs!

Henry was taking a nap -- so we never got a shot of the boys and the both of us -- next trip!
