Summertime!!

Summer is here and we are enjoying it! Trips to the park, ice cream store, (Henry had some strawberry ice cream and loved it!) Chicago, the zoo, swimming in the kiddie pool & big pool with friends, and we are hearing to the lake very soon! Henry LOVES to swim. We visited a community pool with friends and he absolutely loved it -- he was kicking and paddling and even put his face in the water! I think my love of water and swimming has definitely rubbed off on him :)

Henry now has 5 teeth, and the 6th is starting to poke through. Just when I thought this kid couldn't get any cuter! Henry is standing on his own without holding onto anything for long periods of time. He is walking along furniture, with his walker, and anywhere he can test out those legs!

We are heading the beach for the Fourth -- Henry doesn't know how excited he is, but soon he will understand!!!

Officially 9 months!

Henry is officially 9 months! He has been 'on the outside' as long as he was in!

We went to the pediatrician this week and we have one very healthy baby! I believe he used the word "perfect," but we already knew that! And, as if on cue, when the doctor asked whether Henry has started to be more verbal, Henry proceeded to wave and say "hi." This was followed by more waving, lots of talking, and the doctor saying "well, yes, I believe he is letting me know that he likes to talk!

9 month Dr. stats:
Weight: 20lbs, 3 oz (50th percentile)
Length: 30.25 inches (90th percentile)
Head: 40.5 cm (70th percentile)

Our Stats:
Favorite Foods: Avocado, Cheerios
New Foods: yogurt, eggs, cucumber, kiwi, hummus
Number of Teeth: 3 (The fourth one is juuuuuust about there!)
Words: Mama, Dada, hi, yeah!
Best Friend: Charlie (aka pickles)
New Milestones: Crawling on all 4s, standing up, trying to climb out of crib (last one makes for one stressful mama!)
Favorite Books: Anything with pictures of real people, animals, babies!
Favorite Animal: Monkey :) Loves to wave at the monkeys on his walls in his room!

We are glad summer is finally here! And so happy that Grandma Sobczak and Aunt Katie are out of school, and also that we are going to head to Lake Michigan and Crystal lake in early July! Henry is enjoying the backyard - crawling in the grass, going for walks, and enjoying all the trees, bushes, flowers, and birds he sees all around him!
