A serious case of chapped cheeks!

Henry met a lot of his extended family yesterday during the French/Beach Thanksgiving -- which meant lots of kisses!! Henry was very happy to be in any arms that would hold him and loved all the attention. He gave away lots of smiles and was very talkative to anyone who would listen! It was so much fun watching him meet so many new people and have the entire family together! As soon as I get some pictures from Henry's paparazzi, I will post them! 

Being thankful on this Tofurky day...

I'm not going to lie... it's been a tough year. But our 2011 has one shining star, Mr. Henry -- Every day we are in awe by his smiles, laughs and "pure awesomeness." I firmly believe that children choose their parents and I smile every day knowing that my Dad gave Henry a little nudge towards us.

I'm thankful for so many things. A wonderful husband, a loving family (both on earth and in heaven), a beautiful baby boy that lights up my life, a sister that has moved back from California to be closer to her family and nephew, the ability to be able to stay home with Henry for a few more months, friends that I can count on, and our dog, Charlie Bear, that has given us so much love when we really needed it the most.

Welcome Baby Beach!

Okay Okay.... Henry is 11 weeks old, but since this is the first post and the reason I am starting this blog a welcome is in order. Henry Thomas Beach was born on September 2, 2011 at 1:31 p.m., 7lbs, 8oz and 21 inches long. After a long (ahem 18 hours) labor, we were delighted to find out Baby Beach was a healthy baby boy! I am officially out numbered in the Sobczak-Beach household.

Henry is doing great -- at his 2 month check up he was 13lbs, 3 oz and 23.5 inches long. He is smiling, cooing, has found his hands, feet, and mouth. It has been such a pleasure watching our little man grow so fast!

I am hoping this blog will help me write down (and share) Henry's milestones and all the fun our family is having with the newest addition to our family!
