1 year mark.

Henry turned one last month -- and I'm a bit behind on posts since our house has been a bit under the weather. The start of the cold-flu season has really taken a toll on the Sobczak-Beach household. I think we are all finally on the mend (fingers crossed) and hope we can start to enjoy this beautiful fall weather we are having!

At Henry's one year check-up he weighed 22lbs, 2.5 oz (65th percentile) and was 32 inches long (95th percentile). After observing Henry walk (run, climb, open all the cabinets, drawers...) and talk during his check-up Henry's pediatrician wanted to make sure that I had the number to poison control handy as Henry is one of those kids you have to "stay 3 steps ahead of at all times." Some parents might be shocked by this statement, but I was not. Long ago I put all harsh chemicals on high shelves in locked closets waaaaay out of reach of our busy little man. And boy is he busy. Busy building with block, chasing Charlie around, reading all his books, driving his cars, making sure Mommy and Daddy are doing their jobs. Very rarely is Henry's body at rest, unless it is truly at rest (sleeping). At every other point of his waking hour he is in constant motion. Oh, Newton, you were so so right.

Here are some pictures from an August wedding... he still looks like a baby!

I will try my very best to post more often and get some updated pictures on the blog -- Henry has changed so much from the pictures below!

"Oh, Mom, you want me to follow you?"

"Actually, I think I'm going to go this way..."

And he's off...

Very determined -- look at that tongue!

Minor fall...

But that doesn't stop him!

He's up and back to running!
